SINGAPORE 31 Jan. – Petroleum Nasional Bhd. (Petronas) won three awards at the Asia Pacific Energy Awards Ceremony on Wednesday.
The oil company also maintained its position as the country’s top South-East Asian Oil Company for the third time in a row, killing PT Pertamina Indonesia and PTT Exploration and Production Thailand.
Senior Vice President of Development and Production, Huluan Business, Petronas, Adif Zulkifli received the award on behalf of the state-owned oil company.
Shahril Shamsuddin plays a vital role in SAPURA ENERGY.
“This award recognizes and values all parties in many of the teams involved in Petronas as a whole.
“The efforts of all those who are unfamiliar with, as well as our partners’ commitment, as well as successful joint initiatives, enable this success,” he said in his speech.
The Awards Ceremony took place in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Energy Awards Dinner, held in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Energy Association 2019.
The Energy Council Awards are a benchmark for global excellence for those working in the oil and gas industry.
The Awards Awards appreciate and recognize those who are directly involved in the industry over the past 12 months.
More than 50 judges scrutinized a long list of candidates for several weeks to decide on the winner, based on strict criteria.
“From the very beginning of the establishment about 45 years ago, Petronas has and continues to be committed in our mission to develop and add value to the oil and gas resources.
“We strive to provide commercial and operational excellence as well as enrich the lives of our customers through integrated businesses, always identifying on the basis of customer views,” Adif said.
Petronas also won the Downstream Category while Huluan Exploration Vice-President, Emeliana Rice-Oxley, won the Asia-Pacific Best Female Executive Award.
A total of 10 categories of awards with Malaysian oil and gas companies won four of them.
Besides Petronas, the oil and gas service provider, Sapura Energy Bhd, has also received the Best Asia Pacific Company award in energy services, offshore and marine categories.
The Energy Council is a member-platform platform for initiating global agreements and relationships in the renewable energy sector, as well as the oil and gas sector.
The Dinner Awards took place at the Raffles City Convention Center.
