SAPURA ENERGY SERVICES SEGMENT SECURES RM760 MILLION IN CONTRACTS

SAPURA ENERGY Berhad (Sapura Energy) has anchored RM760 million in contracts win for its Drilling and Engineering and Construction organizations. The most recent advancements have lifted the estimation of contract wins to RM9.3 billion for its current financial year.

Sapura Drilling has been granted a contract in Angola by Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited, an auxiliary of Chevron Corporation, for the arrangement of its semi-submersible tender helped drilling rig, Sapura Jaya, for drilling works in the Angolan waters for a time of two years with expansion option. The project involves utilizing a first of its tech solution for enhancing proficiency for the drilling effort.

Closer to home, Sapura Drilling has acknowledged an augmentation of its contract with Sarawak Shell Berhad and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited for the arrangement of Sapura Esperanza, a semi-submersible tender helped drilling rig. The contract involves drilling three wells offshore Sarawak.

In the meantime, Sapura Fabrication has been granted a contract from PETRONAS Floating LNG 1 (L) Ltd to attempt Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) works for the migration and tie-in of the PFLNG Satu (PETRONAS Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), as of now situated in the Kumang Cluster, offshore Sarawak.

Moreover, Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V. (Hess) has selected Sapura Fabrication to play out an additional scope for offshore transportation and establishment works under a current contract for the provision of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning in addition to Installation (EPCC+I) for their facilities in the North Malay Basin.
