SAPURA ENERGY SECURED THREE NEW CONTRACTS

KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Energy Bhd has secured three new contracts and an agreement extension value at about RM815 million in Australia, Brunei, Malaysia, and Nigeria, bringing the group’s aggregate value in contract wins in the current financial year-to-date to RM5.3 billion.

President and group CEO Tan Sri ShahrilShamsuddin said continued high oil costs had energized recovery in ventures, which is driving increased activities.

“One of the key areas we are seeing an increase in demand is brownfield maintenance and restoration, where Sapura Energy has built up its reputation among other upstream services,” he said in an announcement today.

Making a passage into Nigeria for its engineering and development section, Shahril said the group intended to build a sustainable presence and in addition make a solid administration and item production network in the nation by developing local talent for its future business in Africa.
